Who we are
Mohamed Law Office, LLC, doing business as Lincoln Square Law (“the firm,” “we”), is a law firm at 2248 W Foster Ave, Chicago, IL 60625. We are responsible for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy at any time at (312) 257-2260 or by email at privacy@lincolnsquarelaw.com.
What we collect
- Contact and intake forms: name, phone, email, preferred language, the type of matter, a brief description, any key dates you enter (for example, the date of an injury) so we can flag deadlines, and whether you agreed to receive text messages.
- Resource downloads: name, email, phone, organization (optional), whether you want firm updates, and the page you requested the resource from.
- Scheduling: if you book a consultation on the Book a Consultation page, the information you enter in the booking form is received by Zoom (see “Third-party services on this site”).
- Basic technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited, logged by our hosting provider for security and to make the site work. Our checks against automated form abuse keep your IP address only in a one-way scrambled (hashed) form, not the address itself.
- What we do NOT collect: we do not collect biometric identifiers, we do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track your activity across other websites.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and check conflicts of interest before we can represent you.
- To schedule and hold the consultation you book.
- To provide legal services if you hire us, subject to professional duties of confidentiality that are stricter than this policy.
- To send resources you requested and, if you separately opt in, firm updates with a simple way to unsubscribe.
- To text you only if you checked the consent box. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.
Third-party services on this site
Some pages load content directly from other companies. When that happens, your browser connects to that company, which receives technical information such as your IP address and browser type and handles it under its own privacy notice.
- Google Fonts (every page): the site’s typefaces load from Google Fonts servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Google receives your IP address and browser information with that request. We do not send Google anything you type into our forms. See the Google Fonts FAQ and Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Zoom Scheduler (Book a Consultation): the Book a Consultation page shows Zoom Scheduler, a booking tool operated by Zoom Communications, Inc., loaded from scheduler.zoom.us. Zoom receives technical information when the tool loads. If you book a time, the name, email, and answers you enter in the booking form go to Zoom to create the appointment and the video meeting, and Zoom sends the confirmation. Our intake form does not send your description of the matter to Zoom. Please do not put sensitive details about your case in the booking form. Zoom may use its own cookies. See the Zoom Privacy Statement.
- Google Maps (Directions): the Directions page shows an embedded Google map, and Google receives technical information when it loads. Links to Google Maps and Apple Maps open those services, which are governed by their own notices. If you prefer not to load the map, call the firm for directions.
- Email (Microsoft 365): the firm’s email runs on Microsoft 365. When you submit a form, the internal notice we receive contains your contact details and the type of matter, not your full description, which stays in our website’s private records. The acknowledgment we send you also goes through Microsoft 365.
Preferences stored in your browser
If you choose Español, the site saves that choice in your browser’s local storage (lsl_lang) so the same language shows on your next visit. If you open a form from a button that preselects a matter type, the site remembers that choice for the current session only. Neither tells us who you are, and you can clear both in your browser settings. Our site does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Who we share it with
With service providers who help us operate: web hosting, email (Microsoft 365), and scheduling (Zoom). Providers that handle information you send us are bound by contract to protect it. With authorities only when the law requires it. With no one else. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that don’t become representation are kept as long as needed for our conflicts records and then deleted under our retention schedule. Client and prospective-client records are retained under the firm’s professional obligations and records-retention practices.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS, so information is encrypted in transit between your browser and the site. What you send through our forms is stored as a private record that only the firm can see, and we do not copy your full description into email. No website can guarantee perfect security. That is why the general forms ask only for a brief description, and sensitive documents are received through a more appropriate channel after intake.
Your choices and rights
- Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it (subject to records professional rules require us to keep).
- Withdraw consent for texts or emails at any time: reply STOP to a text, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
To exercise any of these choices, call us or write to privacy@lincolnsquarelaw.com. We review privacy requests promptly and respond as required by applicable law and professional obligations. For information Google or Zoom holds about you, use the choices in their privacy notices.
Professional confidentiality and prospective clients
Privacy law and a lawyer’s professional duties are related but not identical. Information received from prospective and current clients may be subject to professional obligations that are more protective than this website policy. At the same time, contacting the firm does not itself create an attorney-client relationship. Representation begins only after conflicts are cleared, the firm agrees to take the matter, and an engagement agreement is signed.
Children
This site is not directed to minors, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors. If a legal matter involves your child, a parent or guardian should be the one to contact us.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, flag it visibly on this page. We won’t apply retroactive changes that reduce your rights without your consent.
Site legal notices
Attorney advertising material. Information on this site is general and is not legal advice. Visiting this site, reading our guides, or sending us a form does not create an attorney-client relationship; that relationship is formed only through a signed engagement letter after a conflicts check. Past results do not guarantee future outcomes. Legal deadlines, including statutes of limitations, can permanently end your rights; consult an attorney immediately about any deadline.
