Running late or lost?
(312) 257-2260; call and we’ll talk you in.

Planning your visit

If you are coming for a first meeting, bring the documents that are closest to the decision you need to make: a contract, notice, court paper, agency letter, insurance correspondence, medical chronology, entity document, or other record that shows the issue and any deadline. You do not need to bring every document you own. We can identify what else is needed after reviewing the core materials.

If mobility, hearing, vision, language, or another access need affects your visit, tell us when scheduling. We can discuss video meetings, accessible document formats, interpreter needs, or another reasonable arrangement. For public transportation or driving conditions, check your map or transit provider shortly before leaving because schedules and traffic conditions can change.

Before you leave for the office

Confirm the appointment time and the name of the person you are meeting. If you are running late, call rather than rushing. A delayed arrival is easier to solve than an unsafe trip. If weather, mobility, childcare, work, or another issue makes an office visit difficult, ask whether the meeting can be handled by video or phone. The purpose of the meeting is to understand the legal problem, and the format should support that purpose.

For confidential matters, avoid discussing details in a public place on the way to the office. Bring identification if the matter or intake process requires it, but do not bring original irreplaceable documents unless the firm has asked for them. A clear copy is usually enough for an initial review. If a document is in another language, bring the original and any translation you already have.

Phone & video consultations

Prefer not to travel? Many matters can begin with a secure phone or video consultation, and we can often handle documents electronically. In-person meetings are available by appointment when a matter calls for it, for example, to review original documents or sign before a notary. Tell us what is convenient and we will work around your schedule.

Common questions about visiting

Do I need an appointment?

Yes. The office runs by appointment so your attorney is ready and your matter stays confidential. Book online or call (312) 257-2260.

Is parking available nearby?

Street parking is available in the surrounding Lincoln Square blocks; metered and residential zones vary by block, so allow a few extra minutes. Rideshare and the #92 Foster bus drop off close to the door.

Can you accommodate accessibility needs?

Tell us what you need when you book and we will make arrangements so your visit is comfortable and private.

What should I bring?

Photo identification and clear copies of any documents about your matter. Please do not bring irreplaceable originals unless we have asked for them.
